I am pleased to recommend Ketron Custom Builders for both new construction and remodeling. Having been in the home building business for over 35 years I have had ample opportunity to observe companies perform at virtually every level of competence from best to worst.
During a 10 month period from 2006 to 2007, I hired Ketron Custom Builders to manage the total renovation of and addition to a 125 year old Italianate architecture residence in the German Village Historical District of Columbus, Ohio.
We would highly recommend Ketron Custom Builders. Travis and his team are very skilled, use solid construction practices and are very customer focused. They also manage the customer's budget well
The responsibilities assumed by Ketron Custom Builders included:
- Close interaction with the project architect
- Competitive bidding for all elements of the project
- Coordination on municipal permits and inspections
- Direct responsibility for demolition, rough framing, trim carpentry and numerous other areas
- Construction management of all trade contractors including concrete, roofing, all mechanical systems, insulation, drywall, paint, landscaping, etc.
- Accounting services including budget preparation, monthly billing, auditing and payments processing including retainage and summary reports.
My relationship was primarily limited to Travis Ketron, owner of the company. Having now completed this major renovation of the home now valued at approximately $1,500,000.00 I am extremely pleased with the work and service provided by KCB. Throughout the duration of the project Travis Ketron and his team consistently demonstrated professionalism qualities seldom experienced in home building. Their overall quality was exceptional and in almost all instances done correct the first time. Their timely production and consistent productivity allowed the project to be completed virtually on schedule.
Ketron's focus on job site professionalism resulted in a safe and clean work environment. Their accurate and complete accounting provided timely financial measurement. Most of all, their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction was uncompromising. We engaged Ketron Construction to repair our exterior and interior wall and portions of the roof that had been compromised by water damage. Much of the damage was not visible. As the plans for repair unfolded, Travis Ketron and his team kept us continually informed of the progress.
Travis took many pictures of the damage that allowed us to fully understand the extent of the damage. The plans for repairs were always discussed with us in advance. Many times during the repair process, Travis met with us to review the budget to be certain that he and his team were on time and on budget.

We signed a contract with Travis Ketron after reviewing the most detailed estimate we received from the seven contractors interviewed. He began demolition less than 2 weeks later. Ten months later he presented us with a completed project.
Excellence is what we received from this construction team. Not only were we promised a job done to our wishes we were promised a job that we would be happy with once they were done! He said 'what ever you want us to do we'll get the job done" …and they did. I never felt as if my idea of what I wanted for our home was out of the question, too demanding, far sighted, or ridiculous. They respected our desires and our vision and helped us attain it with encouragement and experienced support.
For my husband and I to have survived (and we can even say we thrived through this experience) over the last 10 months living in a construction zone, may well have been a test of our successful marriage, but we must be honest in saying so much of it was certainly due to Ketron Construction and to how they truly cared about our home, our projects and our living.
